From the Coach:

Sometimes the hardest thing about running your own business is finding someone to help you realize your goals and dreams. When you need help with your business (finances, staffing, government regulations, administrative issues, communication problems, strategic planning, marketing, etc.) seeking advice from your customers could lose you money and even your reputation. Friends and family who’ve never run their own businesses want to see you happy and to support you but they may not know how.

I bring 35 years of experience in a variety of industries – from retail, service and hospitality to direct sales, management and independent consulting. I love to work, I strive to succeed and I do my best when I share my learning and experience with others, to help them reach their goals and dreams. My varied work experience provides me with the ability to quickly grasp the issues you may be dealing with in your business and to guide and coach you to solutions for your business.
I have a proven track record of building successful teams with people from diverse backgrounds and I welcome the opportunity to apply these skills to the ROAR Board to help you and the other board members succeed in business and to build a strong supportive team for ongoing personal and professional growth.

35 Years? No Way!
Yes way! I was 12 years old when I started working to earn extra money to do and buy things that my parents wouldn't pay for. Through high school and university I worked in fast-food outlets, restaurants, retail, administrative positions and coaching other students. In my 20s I was a theatre school director, instructor and acting coach; I did direct sales to supplement my income and to help my friends build their businesses...and I won sales awards in the process. In my 30s and early 40s I worked in the BC public sector and built a successful computer-coaching and web design consulting practice on the side. During my full-time employment with government, I led workplace education campaigns to increase comfort level, skill and use of computers and software. I developed and taught a curriculum of interactive workshops, one-to-one tutorials and informational presentations, always recognizing that everyone is different and one teaching method does not fit all. I took advantage of as many learning opportunities as possible including sessions to build skills in communications, team-building, strategic planning, coaching and leadership.

In 2005, I completed my Master’s degree, left the public sector on the best of terms and started PrinceHeron Enterprises Ltd, in partnership with my husband...so I know first-hand what it’s like to balance relationship and work! I currently provide a variety of communications advisory, coaching and planning services to both the public and private sector.

As a coach I offer my expertise, education and experience to help you and your business goals and dreams become a reality.
