"It doesn't take any more effort to dream a big dream than it takes to dream a small dream" - General Wesley Clark (former head of NATO)

Dear Roaring Women Reader,

Words cannot even begin to describe the effect of the "Train the Trainer" 7 day Intensive that I attended in San Diego had on me!  Jack Canfield has been training personal and business growth seminars for over 40 years - and it is clearly apparent. It was by far the greatest experience of my lifetime - and I learned more than I can put into one newsletter!

I returned, wiser ( I hope), more balanced and full of ideas on how I can pass this information on to you!  You can learn more at our NEW MONTHLY coaching calls - an added benefit of membership.  (yes that's right - no cost to attend)

I have set these call for the first Monday of every month - so be sure to join us!

Non members may attend for $15.95 a session.

November 2nd 1:00 pm. EST, 11:00 AM MTN, 10:00 AM PAC. Register here now

Our first topic: E + R = O.

Recognizing our own gifts and talents

Sometimes we do not give ourselves enough credit for our skills, gifts and talents.  Yes we need to learn to blow our own horn!

Last week I met Erin Saxton - PR expert for many very well known authors.  After a brief conversation - she hired me to do some contract work for her.  She saw the value I had to offer when it came to publicity and media interaction.  So there - I am blowing my own horn here!  But even more importantly - I want to share this knowledge with you!

If you are interested in getting more coverage from the media or want to learn how to incorporate media coverage in your marketing then you need to attend the Media Training in Vancouver on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week.

I have learned the tricks of the trade and I will pass them on to you! I will be sharing everything I know about attracting the media and becoming their go-to person on any area of your expertise at the Vancouver Media Training Oct 27, 28, 29 2009

We can only accept 5 more attendees at our Vancouver Media Training - so register before we sell out.  Register here now

Creating our own futures

We talk about it all the time - but are you really being proactive about it?  How many minutes do you spend a day focusing on the the small things - the little bumps in the road?  (too many?)

One thing that was driven home during the training was that we must be proactive in the creation of our futures - our lives - our dreams.  There were dozens of people from across the world who shared experiences that I will share with you over the next few weeks

What's the first step?  To create your own future you have to slow down enough to think a little about what you really want.  Sometimes staying busy - using excuses like "I have to drive the kids to..." or "if I do not finish this tonight..." keeps us from really thinking about our lives.

I know, I used to do it.  You can't fool a fool-er!  Do yourself a favour - find 5 minutes each day for the next 7 days and think about what you would do, be or have if you could be, do or have anything in the world.  Isn't your future worth at least 5 minutes a day?

Here's to following your dream,

Are you ready to tell your story?

Last week I met dozens of people who had the desire to tell their story - and what better way than to put it all into a book?  Better still is a book full of great life stories!

Chicken Soup for the Soul was Jack Canfield's way of teaching life stories in a most poignant fashion.  He was turned down by 147 publishers before the first one took him on. Within the next two years Jack will reach his goal of over  billion books sold. (by the way you cannot count to a billion in your lifetime - even if you started right now)

Are you ready to share your knowledge with the world?  Don't know how?  Well we have a great format and instructions on how you can get started - for less than $10.00! (non members $20.00)

Have you looked in the mirror lately?  What did you SAY?

Have you ever just looked into the mirror and begun talking to yourself? Oh yeah - we all do it at one time or another. It doesn't mean we are "nuts". (ok, maybe just a little) It just shows though, that we are constantly communicating with ourselves. (Some more often than others!)

Some of us may sing or dance - but often we use the mirror to find the little imperfections.

We go looking for a stray little black chin hair, or we examine our hair loss, freckles, double chin and any other flaw that we think needs to be fixed. And as we are looking intently - we talk to ourselves. More here

Going the Extra Mile will Get You Even Farther - Guest Writer Jack Canfield

Are you someone who consistently goes the extra mile and routinely over delivers on your promises? It's rare these days, but it's the hallmark of high achievers who know that exceeding expectations helps you stand above the crowd.

Almost by force of habit, successful people simply do more.
As a result, they experience not only greater financial rewards for their extra efforts but also a personal transformation, becoming more self-confident, more self-reliant, and more influential with those around them.

These high achievers stand out from the crowd because of their extra efforts. They are unwilling to give up, even in the face of difficult times.
