Dear Roaring Women

October brings crisp days, turkey leftovers and the desire to curl up on the couch with a cup of tea for a few minutes to read something interesting!  We have several members who have good books for you to read - and we will be highlighting them next newsletter.

I hope you are enjoying your printed newsletter that you get in the mailbox.  We have had great feedback - which just goes to show me - I am not always right. I thought people would not read a printed newsletter - but I was wrong!  Even our surveys show that people  love to get GOOD mail!  Each month you will notice coupons and good information that we find and know that you want. Is there something you would like to see us write about in the print newsletter?  Ask us here.

Things happen for a reason....
I cannot tell you how often when I am coaching that clients tell me of frustrations about delays in plans, delays with services, and roadblocks frustrate them!  But often things happen for a reason - and weeks later the answer is revealed.  Recently I too had the same experience.  Due to travel back and forth across Canada (opening or visiting chapters) we came to the conclusion that we needed a better way to get around for less money.  It seemed the the purchase of an RV for a moving office seemed the best idea. I could see it in my mind - The Coaching Coach!

After several loan refusals- I became frustrated.  And so I decided to just sit quietly and wait... and wait....until the answer came.  We found a great RV for 70% of what we originally had located - and we got the loan!  Now we can get to more meetings and we will be offering some great group coaching opportunities to all of our chapters!

SURPRISES COMING
Yes, yes, yes! We are working quietly on a great conference for the spring.  Partnering with another Canadian business highlighting women in business - we have some great ideas up our sleeve... keep your ears and eyes open!

NEED TO KNOW

Did you know that good follow-up is the foundation of a good business?  In fact it take 10 times more effort to find a new client than it takes to cultivate a warm relationship or sell to an current client.  Our survey on how you are following up has revealed some interesting results.  View some results here. GOOD NEWS
I have contracted a programmer to create a follow-up program for entrepreneurs to be released in January 2008
. This program will be simple to operate- and will ensure you never miss following a lead or client request ever again!  We are looking for 10 people to BETA test this program this fall. If you are interested please contact us.

COACHING COACH - Watch for it in your area!
I am  woman on a mission!  Over the next year I will be using Roaring Women's newly acquired office on wheels (often referred to as an RV) to travel from area to area to offer free group coaching sessions for 7 members who are already registered for the next meeting in their area.

These will be 2 hour session designed to give good information and assistance to help YOU grow your businesses!  We will be in EDMONTON on Monday the 15th - this session is already FULL!

The Coaching Coach will also be at the National Women in Business Expo in Saskatoon on October 20th and 21st. Free Coaching session will be given away to those registering to attend online!

Interesting observations:
According to other surveys we have conducted- people do not like receiving too much email.As observed above - all respondents indicated that they followed up with emails.  Yet only 27% followed up with a phone call and only 18% with a personalized snail mail card or letter.  And NO ONE followed up by meeting with someone. If you want to stand out from the crowd you will have to get personal!

We have some ideas for you if you want to get personal - and set yourself apart from the crowd.  I invite you to start following up by snail mail - send a card or a letter. You can find more information on a great card sending program here - or printed mail and printed newsletters here
