Much to my surprise - Senator Elaine
McCoy's office called me early yesterday morning
to ask if I could fill in and speak to 250 women
at the Women of Influence Luncheon on Calgary.

I
encourage you to attend these events to network.
They are very prestigious and you never know what
kind of connections you could make. It never hurts
to be connected!
How
did the Senator's office get my name? It
was a referral to the web site. Are you

There
is enough for everyone - but do you really believe
it?
Are you walking the walk - or just talking
the talk. Believing a principle like this
is not always easy. SOmetimes we get focused
on what we don't have and begin to look around
at what others are getting. The thought
trap goes further to then begin to accuse others
of taking what is yours. This though pattern
is far too prevalent among business owners who
SAY they believe that there is enough for everyone.
We
recently experienced the fallout from such thinking.
A NON- MEMBER was concerned as we advertised services
that some of our members offer - and suggested
that we lacked integrity. This comment and
thought process comes from a scarcity mentality.
So let me let you know how we work.
When
we advertise or promote a service that you as
a member offer - if the request for the service
comes in from YOUR area of expertise or close
to your location - we will refer you. We
promise. I can give you several immediate
referral we have passed on to members - but I
am not here to defend. I am here to ask
- are you running your business from a lace of
abundance, or a place of scarcity?
No
one can steal business from you.
You will get the business that you attract.
And it will be the right business. Yes you
should market effectively. Yes you need
to have an action plan to attract and keep customers.
If you believe that the universe is a friendly
place - you will have this experience. If
you think you must struggle to survive - this
will be your experience. You get to choose.
