What
could you doing today - I mean right NOW that will make you
more money, get you a new client or change your success rate
of your business?
It
sounds like such a simple question - but how often do we ask
ourselves something like this. If we asked the question
'what will this do to increase my business?' every time we
began doing something, chances are we would stop doing what
we were doing and do something else.
And
that my fellow entrepreneurs is a scary thought. It
means that right today we have filled our day with doing 'stuff'
none of which will likely make us any money - and we all
need money to live and keep our businesses running. (N'est
ce que pas?)
Unfortunately
too many entrepreneurs and small business owners focus on
doing things that make them little if any money. They
spend a lot of time planning and too little time executing.
Why? Often it is because deep down inside they are afraid
of either failure or success. And so a really great idea -
gets planned out - and then placed on a pile or on a list
of to-do's. Subconsciously because we fear the results
we mark the idea with 'no action required'.
"Leaders
make mistakes - and then they make them right!"
Many
of us fail to move forward because we fail to move.
In other words we do not make the decision to do what needs
to be done. That may mean picking up the phone and calling
someone. It may mean committing to someone to DO something.
It may mean that we delegate the 'book work' and get out there
and sell something!
The
truth is you are going to succeed sometimes, and then sometimes
you will fail. However a very successful mentor I had once
told me that making a mistake was a perfect opportunity to
do something right.
So
- after you finish reading this email put down everything
you are doing and take a moment to think about ONE THING you
could do right now to increase your income - and then DO IT.
And
when you get it done - please
