It is National Pie day today - are you getting your fair share of the publicity pie?  Here are some ways to raise your visibility on the web...

Have you done a GOOGLE audit recently? If not, you should.  Go ahead - go to www.google.com and type in your name.  What sites come up?  Your web site should come up first and second at least.  After that if you have done your horn tooting right - other articles or references to you should come up as well.  But nothing is as effective as a third party referral.  People love to read about people on sites other than their own.  (I guess they expect you to brag about yourself there)  One of the things a Roaring Women profiles will do is make sure you rank within the top 5 google rankings on page 1.

Some things you can do to get more of you on google:

• submit articles to the web - sites like American Chronical - or our site
• write a blog (check ours out for this week!)
• stumbleupon yourself

Stumbleupon.com  - Expose your site to thousands more interested people!

What is Stumbleupon.com?  It is intelligent surfing.  Why do you need it?  Assuming you want people who are interested in what you have to offer - you should make sure that your site has been stumbled upon.

Stumble upon offers you a toolbar that is added automatically to the top of your internet window.  here is a partial view:

You can enter what subjects you are interested in when you join stumbleupon.com.  Then you click on stumble and spend a few minutes being directed to sites that might interests you.  When you see a site you like you can give it the thumbs up!  Now comes the fun part.  Now that the toolbar is up - go to your site and when you get there - go to the toolbar and click the thumbs up on your site.  It may tell you that you have stumbled upon a new site and ask for details. 

Now YOUR site has been entered into the stumble upon rotation.  Great exposure!  While you are at it - why not stumble upon your profile on the RW site too!

Are you proud to be a Canadian?  Is your flag on the map?  Why not get another link out there about you. Go to http://www.clickmycommunity.com and enter your location and a flag will pop up!  So far I am the only one on the map west of Winnipeg - and it is lonely out there.  Show your Canadian colours ladies!

Survey says that many of you (83%) have long distance phone services but most of you are paying too much for it.
