I was reading this week of an auto worker from Japan who actually died from working too hard!  Yes this is true.  The worker logged and incredible 128 hours of overtime in one month - which translates into a 72 hour work week.  How many hours of overtime on your business are you logging?  Be sure to take time for yourself.  No one lives their lives to die of exhaustion!

On that note - I have been traveling back and forth between Ontario and Alberta over the past 2 weeks.  I will be answering all missed emails and phone calls this week - sorry for the delay - but I took a couple of days off over the week-end!  We all need a break!

You need to read it
Many of us, while building our businesses have met with colleagues and clients at Tim Horton's shops all across Canada. I myself was not a coffee drinker until I was over 30 years old and had my first cup of java at Tim's.  While traveling last week - I was in the airport and picked up "Always Fresh" - Ron Joyce's story of how Tim Horton's was built to become the empire it is today. 

This was an incredible story.  I cannot say enough about the dedication of Mr. Joyce to the Tim Horton's business.  His commitment to quality for his customers and fair treatment of his franchisees was inspiring.  Read the book review here

Great Connections 
OK - I confess - I was wrong. I wondered about the value of Facebook and some other online social networking sites.  I have recently been proven wrong!

We recently set up a Roaring Women Facebook group - and already have attracted over 60 people.  The site has sent several new member to us and connected many women together.  We have had new attendees at meetings and our site traffic is up as a result. Our Facebook group is here.  Go to Facebook to join and post your profile.   Link it to your web site and to your profile on Roaring Women.  Join the Roaring Women group while you are there.

ONLINE SUPPORT now available
We have 'soft launched' our new online support. When you are online you may see a picture that looks like this:

This online help will feature live support.  Currently it is on the profile pages and join pages of the site but will be on every page of the site soon.  If you have a questions - please feel free to click on the live support button and ask your question.  The support will me 'womaned' by Regional Directors and longstanding members.  If you want to help out - please call me at 1 888 726 3361.

Coaching Coach
I will be traveling from Calgary to the Hamilton and Kingston area starting next Saturday.  Please be sure to watch "On the Line" on CTS on Friday the 14th of December.

Membership Director - Paid Position 5 - 7 hours per week.  Assign writers, review profiles, post profiles, liaise with new members and ensure Regional Directors are made aware of all new members and their progress.  We require a detail oriented person who also likes people and has good communication skills.

Book Review and Business Tips Admin Director - Volunteer.
Posting of business tips and book reviews.  This person must be able to edit and review submitted reviews and tips - and solicit same from members.  Weekly position - 1 hour a week.email me if you are interested

Support Volunteers
Long term members with a good knowledge of the site and the benefits to Roaring Women here is your chance to offer online support to visitors to the web site and make extra money if they join.    If you are interested - please let me know.  email me if you are interested
