When you meet Karly - for the first time, it’s like you have known her forever. Her easygoing attitude and bright smile make you feel at home right away. It’s apparent that she loves to work with people and has a desire to share her expertise at helping others to create the life they truly desire.
After spending only a few minutes with her, you’ll see first-hand that her passion is infectious. Karly shows people how they can realize their dreams. Karly Berry works hard at building a (successful) business grounded on solid relationships and excellent communication skills.
After high school, Karly began working at Sunshine Village, one of the Olympic Ski destinations for the 1988 Winter Olympics. "It was an honor to be able to meet and see the Olympic team members, from all over the world" she tells me. Their common drive to hone their skills to achieve and exceed goals that seemed impossible left an impression on Karly. Today, she applies the same kind of discipline with her clients’ portfolios.
After that incredible experience, Karly went on to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Calgary. A part-time job at Telus Corp. provided the stepping-stone that would allow her to steer her career towards owning her own business.
Throughout her 10-year tenure with Telus she held many positions in sales and marketing. One of her most notable achievements was the development of the Consultant Liaison Program.
She developed a successful program that addressed the changing business environment and built strong relationships by facilitating optimal communications between independent telecommunication consultants and the corporation.
Her marketing reputation, in managing creative ways to adapt to change, was known across the industry. Soon she was approached by Lucent Technologies and accepted a position as Market Development Manager for Western Canada.
Karly took a leave of absence from Lucent in 2000 to travel for a year with her husband and 3 year-old. With a renewed perspective on her purpose in life, she refocused her efforts to allow for a more balanced life.
Karly decided to make a career change that would give her the opportunity to help others achieve their desire to have more work-life balance.
In December of 2001, Karly embarked on her new career with Clarica as a Financial Advisor. This offered her the opportunity to work flexible hours and be rewarded directly for her dedication. This is a perfect fit for Karly because she is able to incorporate her life values and people skills into a service business that benefits her client’s future.
A mother of two boys, Karly applies her business and life experiences to guide people to discover and fulfill their life dreams and goals. She does this by educating her clients on how they can successfully plan for the future.
Through private consultation, relationship building and a series of educational seminars offered exclusively to her personal and business clients, Karly helps her clients do what she does best - setting goals and then achieving them
