With Janet Young`s practical personality type, attention to detail and 23 years as a computer consultant, organization is a natural skill embedded in her very DNA. `Shifting from organizing computer systems to people`s space was a natural transition for me. I help people get organized so they have time to follow their dreams`.
Janet is an active volunteer in her community with the Canadian Air Cadet League, Professional Organizers in Canada, Trade Council - Canadian Home Builders Association, and the Westshore Chamber of Commerce.
Janet is the only trained Professional Organizer in Victoria BC and 1 out of 45 in Canada through Professional Organizers in Canada. She prides herself and her company`s ability to provide highly personalized service and specialization in residential and small business space organization to meet an individual’s style and specific needs. She provides solid custom wood closets, solid wood slat organization systems, European Modular Storage Systems, and Custom Melamine Organization Systems.
I often hear people say they need more space, but it`s usually a matter of using their space more effectively. One of Janet`s strengths is problem solving. Figuring out what`s not working and guiding clients in finding the best solutions possible, and fast. People are here and now focused, when they decide they want something done, they want it done now`.
Which is why she carries over $30,000 of on-hand inventory components for two of her product lines for quick installations. Janet is able to offer clients high end storage options from four different product lines. My competitors only carry one or two product lines, but I currently have four product lines to ensure clients get the best possible storage solutions for their very specific needs.
Janet is contagiously passionate about the importance of having an organized space and sees closets as the foundation of being organized. “When our lives are filled with clutter it’s impossible to live beyond just making it through each day.
It is hard to dream, if you’re merely surviving. De-cluttering helps to make life easier, frees up time, energy, and your mind. It gives you time to follow your dreams. Without dreams life is flat”.
Fuelling her passion is Janet’s firsthand experience of how organizing a space is such a powerful process, “once people start, it often creates a snowball effect expanding into other areas of their lives creating positive changes”.
With an amazing entrepreneurial spirit and skill set, Janet is building All Organized Storage into a thriving business with plans to grow from a home based business to having store fronts in both British Columbia and Alberta. Her personalized service and variety of products allow her to create beautiful and functional storage to fit an individual’s style and needs. The primary focus: bringing calmness, order, and space to people’s life.
Janet’s advice to other entrepreneurs is ‘enjoy the journey’. There will always be lots of things in business you ‘have’ to do, you might as well find a way to enjoy doing them. Also, be open and willing to grow; if something is overly challenging, find another way that is easier and works better for you.
