If you click on the map link at the Inside & Out Naturally website you soon realize just how well-located Kimberley Bennett’s clinic is. Sitting just outside of the mainstream of the city of Edmonton, but still within easy access for anyone who cares to travel a little beyond well-worn paths, awaits a treasure-house of healing. Kimberley has designed a peaceful space that offers everything you didn’t know you were looking for.
Several consultants work at the site to provide life coaching, iridology, homotoxicology consultations, hypnotherapy, acupuncture, reflexology, massage therapy and complete esthetic services. A fully appointed seminar room hosts a variety of facilitators who offer a broad range of classes and workshops. Oh yes, and greater Edmonton’s only full service infrared sauna room has a dedicated treatment room on the top floor. All of these services are seamlessly brought together by Kimberley and her staff to give refreshed meaning to the concept of wholistic health care.
“No one therapy or practice can do it all,” Kimberley emphasizes her words with a pause before explaining her business logo. “It’s a three-dimensional box that is opening and transforming. The logo represents a person opening up and flying and stepping into their own presence and power. To achieve this we need to address both the physical and the emotional person.”
Whether you come as a casual drop-in or a regular you’ll be greeted by a warm and inviting reception area where you can read up on the various treatments offered. The receptionist will be happy to answer questions while you sip on a healthy smoothie and soak in the atmosphere. You might begin your journey with an ion foot bath (these are fascinating – you literally watch toxins darken the water as they leave your body) and ponder acupuncture or hypnotherapy. If you decide to have a consultation with Kimberley you’ll find out just how healthy you can become.
In my ‘wish list’ I ask only for clients who are ready willing, and able to follow through on their program. I want to work with people who are committed to improving their health, this way I only attract folks who want results.
They know that if they’re going to work with me they have to accept responsibility for their health. Occasionally I’ll see someone who just wants a quick fix. Perhaps they think they just need to drop twenty pounds and then all will be right in their world. I’ll let them know that a quick-fix is often just going to end up in self-sabotage. It just isn’t realistic to try and quickly undo damage that took you several years to accumulate. In fact it can be dangerous to detoxify too quickly.”
Using iridology as a tool for analysis, the client receives a program plan including nutritional guidance, cleansing, organ support and educational recommendations. A unique component of the program plan often includes homotoxicology, which is a derivative of homeopathy and works to help your body achieve a deep cleansing of the cellular matrix to remove old toxins and debris. Once this is done your fluids are able to function as intended. But as Kimberley is quick to point out, the healing process doesn’t rely on just one treatment over another. This makes even more sense as she explains the three aspects that impact all aspects of human physiology: reactive, proactive and psychosomatic.
“The result of this,” she says, “is that all our organs have an emotion attached to them and all disease has an emotional base. We release the physical toxins to release the inner emotional strain. We’ve had some very gratifying results across all ages. One of our young clients is an infant with an enlarged heart. She was in the hospital for two weeks with a failure-to-thrive designation. I worked with a couple of products at low dosage and incorporated diet changes to her treatment. She’s now 2½ years old with a heart that is within 5 percent of normal.”
Other, less prosaic ailments are treated to equally gratifying results. “Gout results in a painful build-up of uric acid in the joints. It seems to show up in men (more than women). They’re mostly logical thinkers and aren’t too sure about trying this (homeopathic) process. For the ones who do, the results are impressive.”
As you can probably tell, Kimberley Bennett is passionate about her work. She brings many years of business experience to the conference table, beginning with her first enterprise at age 12. It was the 70s and she designed and distributed macramé hangers to be sold in various businesses around town. From there Kimberley broke various gender barriers in the work-world until she developed a manufacturing company producing a line of children’s wear. It was successful, but she knew it wasn’t her ultimate goal. “It was my son who moved me to action. I was always telling him to follow his dreams. Finally, one day he asked, ‘Mom, when are you going to follow yours?’”
Kimberley placed a down-payment on her clinic within three weeks of that question. “Through the years I have learned how to build cabinets, do wood finishing and pick up any tool required to get the job done. I’m still amazed at the number of gifts I’ve been given that helped me to create a perfect space to see my one of my many dreams come true.” Kimberley’s dream has expanded to include mentoring others. On the green strip at the top of the Roaring Women website you’ll see a tab marked Services, from there click on Roar Boards to discover another Roaring Women innovation.
“I’m really excited about being part of the Roar Boards program,” Kimberley says. “I have a wealth of business, marketing and coaching experience that I want to share with my fellow entrepreneurs. Eight members are assigned to a coach. We meet once a month to develop their businesses to the next level. The process is very much one of personal accountability, goal setting and growth."
The thread in Kimberley’s story is one of helping others while helping herself. In doing this, she realizes her own dreams and continues to grow as both an individual and business owner. Take one of the many roads that lead to Inside & Out Naturally, visit with Kimberley, and find out how you can take your health to the next level. Who knows, in the process you might just discover that you too, can live your dreams.
