Because each event in her professional life took her one step closer to the realization of her business goal, April is a strong believer in “The Law of Attraction”. She understood that there was a reason why her life unfolded in the manner in which it did. Her “aha moment” actually occurred when the lender for which she worked decided to move out of Canada and close operations. She viewed this occurrence as an opportunity to utilize her broker connections in the creation of a unique business. Seizing this opportunity has resulted in April never having to look back.

Moreover, her financial background lends credibility to April’s training as she possesses first-hand experience as a mortgage professional. She totally “understands the pain and challenges” of her fellow professionals, having walked many times “in their shoes”. As a result, her clients appreciate that she is a marketing expert in her field. April is also a voracious reader, particularly of inspirational tomes, such as “Napoleon Hill” and “The Law of Attraction”.

Not only does April display left-brain financial talents, but also right-brain creativity. In fact, April is passionate and creative about everything she does. Her hobbies include cooking, floral design, and interior decorating. Although most of her clients are licensed mortgage professionals, April’s techniques are applicable to most businesses.

When asked about her words of wisdom, April observes, “Businesses fail either if they’re not planned well or the owner loses enthusiasm for the venture by running out of steam when confronted with a challenge. It is isolating as a mortgage professional and taking courses doesn’t necessarily prepare one for real life.” She thus recognizes that one needs to invest energy, time, and money to propel a business forward and up to the next level. “Otherwise, one will always be stuck at the same point”, April comments. “Business consumes lives; don’t try to do it all by yourself. Your business will be better off by obtaining professional help”, April notes.

As April helps and trains her clients “to build and grow”, she feels a real sense of accomplishment during these “shared adventures”. “Everyone is different, so each adventure is different”, exclaims April. For herself, future aspirations include public speaking, seminars, presentations, and workshops in addition to her current coaching. She has also thought about mentoring an assistant as her company flourishes for years to come. April envisions “a well-balanced steady flow of new, referral, and repeat clients walking through [her] door”.
