When Lucinda Pollit left her home in Gloucester, England in 1979 she couldn’t have imagined the adventures ahead! The long and winding road took her to Holland and Indonesia and she has also lived many years as a wife and mother in Canada. Like so many of us today she learned to be strong, to get to know her Self, and then to answer the inner calling to teach and share the light she discovered within.
It is from this experience of personal healing that Lucinda creates a safe environment for her clients. Tapping into her depths of compassion and wisdom embodied in reiki sessions and French aroma therapy, they begin to clear emotional, physical and psychological burdens. The chaotic chatter in the head is gone; the aching joints and digestive upsets are better; the relaxation response is triggered.
She helps reframe verbal messages into positive vibrations that allow the healing energy to penetrate old, undesirable thoughts. Overall, her clients are “really happy” as they report greater mental clarity, less pain and a physical “lightness”.
She supports the women and men who seek her help to see themselves in a ‘whole’ new way. They arrive at a place where they can say a quietly resounding “It is OK to just be me!” Thus they put an end to victim mentality, to being manipulated, to accepting the martyr role. It is a huge and joyful leap forward, fully in the new consciousness of the teachings and philosophies being discussed between friends everywhere these days. “The Secret” isn’t a secret any more.
The real potential in energetic healing and positive thinking is also Lucinda’s message to the Breast Cancer Survivors Association where she runs volunteer workshops as part of the support services. Hearing Lucinda speak about her devotion to helping others, you recognize a humble, vulnerable person who readily admits, “I don’t always get things right.” And yet, as the beautiful piece she recently wrote below shows, she certainly gets much right!
“Our light opens a door into the infinite possibilities of the present moment because it’s only this moment that we have to make a choice or choices. We shine a light into the darkness of the moment and the moment is transformed. We create hope; we validate ourselves and the other person; we are transformed. We bring healing to the pain in this moment, to the pain of our past and we heal the future. Because when we have learned something that lifts us, some wisdom, we will be more able to see the light in future difficult moments and we have gained understanding for our past moments.”
The clients who seek her help in her new clinic setting in the Burlington area are gaining from her sensitivity and insight - just two of the gifts she possesses which lead to infinite healing possibilities. Even a brief exposure to Lucinda’s commitment to help her fellow travellers along their individual long and winding roads will help you resonate to her positive, powerful truth. It certainly had that impact on me.
