No Longer Trading Time for Money

Carmen Robinson takes entrepreneurship seriously being associated with a major on- the-rise network marketing company. OWN [Our World Network] produces an immune boosting product called ‘Youth Juice’ which combines organic berries and sea vegetables to create a powerful and unique functional whole food supplement.
It was developed in cooperation with a Canadian Government Research and Development grant and is rapidly becoming recognized in health and nutrition industries as a complete supplement for ultimate health and longevity. OWN is a Canadian company with corporate offices in Vancouver, B.C.
Having been involved in network marketing for over 20 years OWN is a perfect fit for Carmen whose true passion is yoga. She says, “Network Marketing allows me to keep my passions to just that, passions.”
Adding, “I believe the business model to be beneficial to anyone who is open to an alternative source of income. It allows the ordinary person to make extraordinary income. The only limits are those that one puts on them. People are so busy working for a living that they have forgotten to live. Network Marketing allows an individual to no longer trade time for money...but to create passive income.”
Carmen became involved with yoga 12 years ago, but in 2002 decided to learn and discover more of this ancient form of fitness and awareness with a year of dedicated practice both physically and spiritually and began teaching privately four years ago.
Yoga is a union of mind, body and spirituality. Carmen says, “Many people are intimidated by yoga postures and the whole spiritual aspect that is widely misunderstood. The spiritual side is realizing that everything is within you.”
Then in February 2005 a friend’s prompting encouraged Carmen to embark on a journey to Rishikesh, India located in the foothills of the Himalayas by the Ganges River. Here she stayed in a traditional Ashram [retreat] taking part in four weeks of intensive training and self-discovery.
For twelve hours a day, beginning with a 5AM bell, Carmen meditated, performed yoga and found her own truth and spirit. She says, “I learned it is in the present moment that we grow; all our answers are within us if we tap into our inward peace; that outward appearances are not necessarily inward realities.”
Upon graduation Carmen was given a spiritual name, Kaushal....meaning perfect.....may you continue to see the divine perfection in all people, places and things.
Now residing in Calgary Alberta, Carmen or Kaushal, teaches Hatha which is a gentle approach to yoga. It brings mindfulness into everything you do; stilling and clearing your mind; acknowledging your thoughts to let them go.
“Yoga is self-practice with no competition. What you do on your mat is what you do in your life.” Carmen states, “Yoga is like brushing your teeth, you have to do it daily for optimal results. It’s a process; you must have a willingness to learn patience.”
Carmen feels that in today’s society people work for security, they are afraid to change at the risk of losing their perspective of security and says,
“If you have a willingness and want to change I can help through my experience.” Confirming what she already knew about herself was important; finding out its okay to be what and who she is heightened Carmen’s own awareness of not only herself, but every aspect of her daily life.
She also believes people remember how you make them feel, not what you say and her network marketing venture is definitely about making people feel better, inwardly as well as outwardly. Carmen is on a journey with no destination and says, “It’s all good.” Simply, yet profoundly, put the statement describes Carmen Robinson’s attitude toward life and all it has to offer.
