Ravi Pawa

Ravi Pawa's motto is "loving to live life with purpose and joy", and he seems to be right on track with both.

As a self-employed independent associate with Pre Paid Legal he is having the time of his life. His biggest gift is providing professionally prepared estate-planning documents for FREE to all of his members. These essential services are the very least his services has to offer.

Ravi was born and raised in Kenya, coming to Canada as a pre-teenager to live with his aunt in Regina. His parents and younger sisters eventually moved to Calgary in 1979 and the family was reunited.

After graduating from Sir Winston Churchill high school, Ravi attended the University of Calgary to study for an undergraduate degree in marketing. Even then the entrepreneurial spirit was strong, and his next step was to buy into a College Pro Painters franchise.

The franchise business was good to Ravi, back in a day when competition was somewhat less stiff and in a business that was seasonal enough to allow him plenty of free time. However, the need for a change soon moved him closer to his dream of opening his own restaurant.

After working in the hospitality industry for a while, Ravi and his father bought a soup and sandwich restaurant in downtown Calgary. Three years later they sold the business after getting an offer "too good to resist".

Ravi comments, “ A business is a true business when it can be eventually sold for a profit. Otherwise I am just buying myself a job.”

Ravi's next move was to study food and beverage management at SAIT, with a view to joining the cruise industry. However, he graduated with honors and then promptly changed his mind.

Setting his sights on owning his first home, Ravi started working nights operating a forklift in a unionized warehouse, and long enough to save for a sizable down payment on his condo.

The entrepreneurial urge also returned. Ravi initiated RavCan Enterprises, offering outsourced sales services to small companies on a contract bases. As a result, Ravi has a huge circle of contacts made through networking. He consciously refers leads and prospects to those he knows and trusts.

RavCan quickly became a busy and successful enterprise, and during his networking activities, Ravi eventually met his coach and mentor, Les Oakes, and the Pre Paid Legal opportunity. This combination of events led to a fundamental change in direction.

Ravi joined the PPL Canadian team in 2004, and he has never looked back. Experiencing time leverage through building a team has made all the difference.

He loves to help his clients achieve peace of mind knowing that they can have access to support from the top law firms in North America before, during and after important life events.

Ravi’s vision is to have every Canadian family know about and own a PPL membership and to also protect themselves from the menacing problem of Identity Theft in present times. He is building a team of keen distributors all over North America, and enjoys sharing the empowerment of the self-employed.

It has taken a solid company, the best law firms in the land, an exceptional compensation plan, excellent market conditions and a complete customer-focused agenda to make a positive change in peoples lives. “Equal Justice For All” can be a virtue and a reality today.

When I asked Ravi about his personal life, he described himself as an eligible bachelor, with a good circle of friends, and still looking for his soul mate.

He stays pretty busy with PPL, but he also makes time for a regular massage, for playing tennis and squash and he loves to listen to live jazz. He remains a student of personal development.

His plans for the business are to grow into 4 key Canadian provinces and continue to expand into the U.S. He is looking forward to connecting with people of influence and to helping as many people as possible take the worry out of their legal affairs. He is here to serve.
