Jane Lever
Self-fulfillment Helping Others Achieve Their Goals
“My move North has been a blessing in my life”. So says Arbonne International Executive Area Manager Jane Lever.

Jane is 46, married, has 2 children, Sonja and Cody. Sonja, born with a heart defect, spent the first 2 years of her life in and out of hospital. So when Sonja was on the heart surgery waiting list at the Stollery Center in Edmonton that seemed a natural choice for Jane and her family. Goodbye Calgary, hello Millet. Back home in the North again.

Jane was born and raised in Edmonton, attended the University of Alberta on a scholarship in Home Ec., but switched to her other passion – business. That switch has proven a very wise and apt choice.

At the age of 20, Jane opened an arts and crafts store, along with working in the Head office of Alberta Motor Vehicles – all while she was still in university. "So when the Alberta Government offered me a chance to run the local Motor Vehicle office, I jumped at it!"

Jane married and moved south to Calgary in 1985, traveled the world and worked for 7 years as a VP in Corporate Calgary before she was 30 years old. Added to this mix was the birth of Sonja.

Then came new challenges as a single mom, caring for her daughter and living far away from her own family in Edmonton. In 1992, Jane met her best friend and second husband and they made the move back to the North.

"Sonja’s heart has healed itself. In 1996 we were blessed with our son and that’s when I started staying at home." While Jane’s husband worked long hard hours away from home, Jane became a jack-of-all-trades. "I raised and bottle fed baby cattle who had no mothers, raised 2000 chickens each summer to sell – not bad for a city girl! I can sew and design (from the arts and crafts days), paint, drive big trucks, forklifts, bobcats, loaders."

In the winter of 2005, while spending nights with a dear friend who was battling cancer, Jane attended her first Arbonne party. Her friend asked Jane to look into this opportunity and Jane made that promise to her. "My dear friend died before I saw her again and my business kit for Arbonne arrived the day of her funeral."

"One door closed and another opened."

"I loved that Arbonne has been in business for 27 years, I love the herbal botanical products and I love that it’s such an ethical company. I started to share Arbonne products with my family and they loved them too. I believe in network marketing and that’s an important part of Arbonne."

"I’ve been doing this now for about a year and a half. The slow steady route. I’m probably one of the last original 50 Arbonne consultants still in the game. Not yet a Regional Vice President, but soon. Very soon."

"At that first Arbonne party, I wasn’t a particularly attentive guest, so just remember that even the worst guest may be listening and may just open the gift you are offering."

Jane’s accomplishments also include being an active and busy volunteer – Girl Guide leader, president of Play Group Preschoolers, president of the fundraising calendar charity for her community and, leading a group of children dedicated to helping a local community charity each year at Christmas. "I believe in giving to others as I have a wonderful life full of love, and so I pass that on to the children."

"I’ve had my fair share of hills and valleys that come with preconceived ideas of old systems and have had to relearn all over again. But I haven’t quit. Being an entrepreneur with Arbonne has revitalized my mind, my soul and my outlook.

Now, with Arbonne, I’ve found self-fulfillment helping others achieve their goals."
