Esther’s doing it all and she wants you to do it too! By: Irene Darra
From humble beginnings on a fruit farm in Niagara-On-The-Lake, to starting a practice in Core Belief Engineering (CBE), Esther Bartkiw is doing everything she ever dreamed of, including learning how to skate.
What’s more, she’s adding to the roster, learning how to kayak and play tennis, upgrading her cooking skills, writing children’s literature and becoming a motivational speaker.
What exactly inspired her to be all that she could be, you ask?
The answer is Core Belief Engineering (CBE) – a complimentary form of psychotherapy that aims to help you achieve your life’s wants and desires. For Esther that means being on the path of re-discovering herself. She is casting aside her fears, insecurities and her negative, outdated beliefs.
Admittedly, Esther has led an interesting life so far, and from her view, it can only get better. She graduated from McGill University with a B.A. in Communications and English, and later attended Sheridan College for Journalism. After that, she worked in Radio for several years, and later as a travel representative and tour guide. Her adventurous spirit was appeased by her work and travel. She’s lived in Montreal, Whistler, B.C. and in Austria.
So what was it that sparked this change in her life? Esther sums it up nicely: when the student is ready, the teacher will come. And indeed that’s exactly what happened.
The turning point for Esther came during a routine visit to her Chiropractor. He nonchalantly suggested doing some emotional testing. The testing was very emotional and revealing. So emotional in fact, that Esther came out of his office physically shaking!
“It was almost like a little dirty secret was exposed…it shook me to the core,” she said.
The testing revealed that Esther didn’t really like herself deep down inside. The exposure of this secret truth shook her intensely. She knew she needed to fix whatever it was that was keeping her from being the person she was meant to be. For Esther, the negativity wasn’t so much caused by making the wrong choices; she thought she had been doing everything “right” in her life, but nothing ever seemed to work out for her. She was not living her out her dreams or up to her potential. Esther discovered a troubled interior riddled with negative beliefs, attitudes and patterns. As the saying goes, thing’s are not always what they seem.
Esther conquered her negative self-image by turning to CBE and hasn’t looked back since.
‘For me it’s changed my life and the lives of everyone I’ve worked with,” said Esther.
The bottom line, she says, was that she had to learn how to love and accept herself just the way she was. She did this by re-engineering and re-structuring negative beliefs inherited from various sources (like family, friends and society). Through CBE techniques she learned how to break patterns.
“I see now that almost two years into my journey, I am manifesting the things that I want. I am the biggest testimony for my clients.”
However, Esther wasn’t always so resolute about CBE. She was sceptical at first, true to her former pattern, but after her first session, she experienced so many positive changes, she couldn’t deny the pull toward making CBE her life calling.
“It’s that indescribable, innate knowing. You know that this is the path that you were supposed to be on the whole time.”
Now Esther moves forward in life loving her self, and with the motivation to help people, inspire them and empower them to live the lives they want.
So with a renewed outlook on life, Esther straps on her skates to take those baby steps knowing now there’s so much more that life has to offer.
Happy skating Esther!
