Carol A Dickinson – Progress Health & Beauty
Burlington-born and raised Carol Dickinson is someone who strives toward achieving her goals each and every day.
Her philosophy is one that’s simple and straight-forward: “A-ha moments are those everyday ones that say: ‘Yes, I am going in the right direction’ or ‘No,
this isn’t in line with our goal or direction, so it’s time to learn and alter strategies’,” she said.
Growing up she was blessed with the gift of travel. It was through Carol’s participation as a majorette in the Burlington Teen Tour Band for about six years,
that she was exposed to a lot of touring. You can imagine the fun that she had traveling with her tour band to the Orange Bowl, to the Cotton Bowl, to Europe
and so many more places.
She later attended Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, and, in 1980, Carol graduated from the Radiography Program. After graduation, Carol decided to move out
west, where she gained some experience working as a technologist.
In 1984, Carol passed her certification as an Ultrasound Technologis. Soon afterward she found herself back in Ontario, working in her field as a Mobile
Diagnostic Ultrasonographer servicing area hospitals.
Carol and her husband moved to Barrie, Ontario, and had two beautiful daughters along the way. Over 20 years later, she’s still in Barrie and still married,
said the family-oriented Carol, who enjoys spending time with her family, skiing and traveling.
About seven years ago, Carol’s passion for sales led her into a career in Ultrasound sales within the Veterinary industry. It was during this time that Carol
was yearning to become the businesswoman that she had always dreamed of becoming. She had been contemplating switching from Medical Sales to Esthetics and
began her quest for research.
In 2004 Carol took her first trip to England with her daughter to look into distribution of a beauty product, which didn’t come to pass but did open other
doors. The following year, during a second trip to England with her husband, Blair, she had discovered Moor at Home products at a Professional Beauty
Show in London, England. Carol loved the product line so much that she became a distributor for them in Canada.

“I’ve accomplished a lot of my goals: travel, own businesses, happy marriage, guided great kids. I have achieved a lot more since I got my diplomas and have
been working as an independent. I love to travel, to learn and I am implementing a lot of the planning, inspiration and goal setting as in the in the movie,
the Secret,” said Carol, who hopes that by joining Roaring Women she will meet like minded women, learn and have fun, while networking with businesses across
North America and belonging to a dynamic group of women whom she’s hoping to connect with for friendships and business contacts.
